Dr. Sinicropi brings experience from both sides of the operative decision: he operates and also runs a clinic focused on patients for whom an operation may not be the only answer. Dr. Johnson has long held that regenerative medicine is widely misread as a single decisive act, a mistake he attributes to practitioners looking for a shortcut. “They want something in a syringe, and they want to push that syringe, and then there’s a magical cure,”² he says.
