Medical Imaging & Therapeutics (Dr. Mark Jacobson) &
Genesis Regenerative Partner to Honor a TRUE American Hero
Foreword
The Genesis Regenerative executive team met SSgt. Andrew “Andy” Bostinto and his lovely wife, Francine, at the 2025 A4M Conference in West Palm, FL. After speaking with them for an hour, it was very apparent that they are the embodiment of perseverance to achieve excellence, service to country and community, and a model couple of strength through a loving and respectful partnership. After speaking with our Medical Director, Dr. Mark Jacobson, and his lovely wife, Patty, everyone agreed that Medical Imaging & Therapeutics and Genesis Regenerative would partner to provide Andy and Francine with complimentary RPA treatments as a gesture of respect and gratitude. What ensued was a great day of two like-minded couples, dedicated to excellence and service with their respective talents, and we couldn’t be more proud than to tell SSgt. Andy Bostinto’s story and support their quest for lifelong fitness. We hope that everyone enjoys and is inspired by their story, as we say thank you for your service and for the inspiration! You are an example to all of us and for generations to come.
SSgt. Andrew Bostinto’s Story
Andy was born in Manhattan, NY on January 11, 1925, and was raised in Brooklyn, NY. He was raised in a challenging home environment, and without a penny in his pocket, Andy began to change his life for the better in his early teens. As you will hear throughout this story, Andy’s challenges taught him a drive that continues to this day, an ability to intuitively read and lead people, a passion for lifelong health and fitness to achieve his goals, and a true dedication to serving.
Andy’s military career began with being rejected by every branch due to his vision not meeting regulations. Even at 18 years old, his drive was apparent by writing the President of the United States, requesting to be granted to opportunity to serve his country. Andy got his wish, enlisted and served 3 years active duty and 26 years in the Army Reserves. In his time during WW II, Andy exemplified courage as he served under General Patton at the Battle of the Bulge. His service as both a rifleman and in the Combat Military Police took him across Europe, including Germany, Austria, and Czechoslovakia, and he even stayed beyond the end of the war to interrogate SS and German prisoners and coordinate the liberation of towns. In December of 2024, Andy returned to the battlefield for the 80th Commemoration and in May 2025 was awarded the Bronze Star for heroic achievement in a combat zone.
Andy’s bodybuilding career and dedication to lifelong fitness started in 1938, at the age of 13, when he began working out in a public park. Upon returning from the war, he began his bodybuilding career and opened a gym in Queens, NY, where top bodybuilders like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lou Ferrigno, and many others not only worked out there, but became lifelong friends. On top of becoming a judge at major competitions like The Olympia, he also worked for his long-time friend, fitness guru Jack Lalanne, overseeing all of Jack’s gyms on the northern East Coast.
Throughout the years Andy would train many stars, including Al Pacino, Cindi Lauper, Patrick Stewart, and others. His dedication to fitness has earned him Mr. America Senior and the title of the oldest living competitive bodybuilder, at 100 years old.
Always an advocate for others, Andy’s commitment to excellence and lifelong fitness drove him to speak at Riker’s Island with troubled teens, supporting the Special Olympics, and educating students at local high schools. He even appeared on numerous shows like Geraldo Rivera and Regis to promote natural fitness. Andy and Francine are highly active in the National Gym Association, Inc (NGA) to this very day, promoting natural bodybuilding shows throughout the country, after founding the organization 46 years ago.
The most amazing thing about Andy is he’s never satisfied with the accomplishments of the past and is always looking to serve and educate the people around him. In a recent conversation, Andy stated, “with as many people that are requesting me to tell my story, all I care about is making sure that I leave behind what Francine needs to have a good life.” That says it all and is the enduring lesson that Andy and Francine can teach all of us…
